Official Visit to the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Greece Highlights Trade and Investment Cooperation Agenda

GOUV announced the completion of a high-level official visit to the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Greece, led by President General Mr. Marcos Bãdãrãu, accompanied by the Director for Communication Mrs. Maryellen Bãdãrãu. The institutional agenda took place in Athens and included a formal meeting with Ambassador H.E. Freddy Jesús Fernández Torres, focused on economic cooperation, commercial coordination, and engagement with business communities.

The meeting was structured as a technical exchange centered on presenting institutional interests and aligning perspectives related to international trade. A primary agenda item was the presentation of proposals and priorities from the Greek Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce (CAHEVEN) and the Venezuelan Romanian Chamber of Commerce (CAVERUM), with emphasis on strengthening Venezuela’s foreign trade framework and expanding its commercial relations with Greece and other European markets.

Participants reviewed areas of shared interest related to trade facilitation, identification of priority sectors, and the creation of institutional bridges between market operators. Discussions covered potential cooperation formats, market intelligence exchange, and coordination mechanisms among commercial representation entities. Possible institutional support models for business initiatives with international expansion potential were also examined.

A further component of the visit addressed new investment outreach strategies involving the Greek Venezuelan community based in Greece. Options were evaluated for increasing community participation in business projects, bilateral ventures, and economic integration initiatives. This includes mapping investor and entrepreneur profiles in Athens and other Greek cities to support structured investment prospecting efforts.

GOUV’s Communication Directorate outlined guidelines for informational and institutional support connected to the initiatives discussed, including multilingual communication channels, technical content development, and structured dissemination of opportunity briefs for investors and partners. The objective is to ensure clarity, institutional traceability, and qualified access to verified commercial opportunities.

According to the President General, the visit aligns with GOUV’s operational approach based on direct institutional dialogue, network-based cooperation, and support for cross-border trade and investment platforms. The model prioritizes engagement with diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce, and organized business communities, with emphasis on practical outcomes and operational continuity.

At the conclusion of the agenda, participants registered mutual interest in maintaining active communication channels and developing follow-up proposals. The importance of sectoral studies and technical assessments was noted as a next step toward identifying concrete partnership opportunities in foreign trade, productive investment, and business integration.

GOUV indicated that additional institutional dialogue rounds may be organized based on the issues raised, with participation from partner entities and technical specialists as proposals mature. The stated objective is to convert institutional exchanges into operational projects with measurable economic impact and sustained long-term cooperation.
