This morning of May 21, 2024, the GOUV Council for Foreign Relations sent notes of condolences to the Embassies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Brazil, Venezuela, Romania and Afghanistan. In addition, a note was sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran about the feeling of regret of the GOUV institutions in the face of the tragic accident that occurred on May 19, 2024.
GOUV and its institutions would like to send condolences to the Government of Iran, the victims and their families and the Iranian people. We mourn the death of Iranian Leader H. E. Sayyid Ebrahim Raisol-Sadati and his Chancellor Mr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the other victims. GOUV and its institutions value democracy and repudiate any type of attack on global leaders.
GOUV has no Commission or Representation in Iran. GOUV affairs in Iran are represented through the GOUV Commission for Arab League and Middle Eastern countries.
