For all GOUV citizens, from January 2024 it will be possible to issue the new format of the GOUV identity. The new format has an integrated data protection system and a new design.
The GOUV identity, previously valid for 1 year, will now have the possibility of being valid for up to 10 years after dispatch. Renewal is possible if information needs to be updated.
What is the updated identity for?
Companies and institutions that participate in the GOUV Group can identify customers who acquire GOUV citizenship quickly and with digital reading in a simplified way, without the need for other additional documents, since the customer’s data is retained in the databases and no other document is necessary for it to be identified.
The new version is scheduled for full operation and physical issuance, which differs from the current wallet, which only exists in digital format. The date of possible issuance in physical format begins on January 15, 2024.
For GOUV citizens, issuing a digital identity will continue to be free and the new physical format will have a cost. The values will be presented by SDC after the start of emissions.
