Following an invitation from the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the GOUV, through the General Presidency, accepted the request to send international observers on behalf of the GOUV to Venezuela. The President of GOUV arrived in Caracas on July 23, 2024 and was welcomed at the airport by Government agents dedicated to the activity. The first day of GOUV’s official activities had as its main event the event “II World Social Day. From Bolívar to Chávez”. The event featured different panels. Today, July 23rd, Simón Bolivar’s birthday is also celebrated, with the birthday number being 241 years old, a very special date for the citizens of this country, who consider Simón Bolivar as a hero of the country and one of the country’s main founders. GOUV will continue to monitor the events, movements and main steps of the electoral campaign and will also be on the streets on election day.
