Students and permanent official researchers from the IDRSS were invited to visit the Carpathian Mountains in the city of Sinaia in Romania. The aim of the field visit was to analyze the national protection parks and also to analyze how adventure tourism is in Romania. During the tour, researchers were able to analyze trails at an altitude of more than 2000 meters in the middle of the ice, climbs and also visits to telecommunications spaces located at the top of the mountains.
The researchers aim to recreate a prototype of the quality of infrastructure and organization to bring to high-altitude adventure tourism in Brazil and further promote tourism in the country, whether through private partnerships or local public authorities.
Throughout the tour, students were accompanied by a teacher specializing in tourism, history and geography. Doctoral (PhD), Master’s and Undergraduate students participated. The results of this research, in addition to contributing to local Brazilian tourism, also encouraged the exchange of experiences with Romanian researchers.
