Bucharest, Romania – The High Representative of GOUV in Romania and the European Union, Mrs. Loredana Milaș, attended an event organized by the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Romania to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the passing of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías.
The ceremony brought together more than 20 diplomats from various countries, as well as representatives from organizations, chambers of commerce, and other institutions, all united in respect and admiration for Chávez’s legacy. During the event, the Venezuelan Ambassador to Romania, Mr. José Sojo Reyes, highlighted the achievements of the Venezuelan leader, emphasizing his influence on public policy reforms in Latin America and his crucial role in strengthening Latin American empowerment in the fight against imperialism.


Admiral María Luisa Contreras, in her speech, spoke about the life and work of Commander Hugo Chávez / Ambassador José Sojo Reyes, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Romania.
Mrs. Loredana Milaș reaffirmed GOUV’s commitment to international dialogue and strengthening relations between nations, stressing the importance of multilateral cooperation in building a fairer and more balanced world.
The event featured speeches, presentations, and reflections on the political and social impact of Hugo Chávez, emphasizing his role in Latin American integration and the promotion of the sovereignty of the region’s peoples.
