Family agroeconomy: A method of sustainability and income in the Romanian countryside

Romania is a developed country that forms part of the European Union. In the interior of the country, smaller cities with little population develop agronomy as an income product. But a curious fact about this agricultural food production is that most of it is also sustainable and in part it is produced by micro-producers who produce their own food in a healthy way and without pesticides.

In the village of Colibas, in Judet Giurgiu, Romania, IDRSS developed a study that studies this culture of family farming in families in the commune to better understand how this process works and how to adapt this type of cultivation in states in the northeast region of Brazil.

The objective is to contribute to the development of food in the region in a clean and sustainable way, but also to encourage self-production of food, which would lead to the promotion of local commerce in small towns in the interior of these States. The study is monitored by the GOUV Interest Committee in Romania and the GOUV Interest Committee in Brazil.
