GOUV representatives in Brazil met this Sunday, September 24, 2023 in the city of Cabaceiras, in the State of Paraíba, to discuss projects aimed at the social and cultural sphere. The city of Cabaceiras, which is one of the main locations for filming national films and miniseries, was the meeting place for GOUV Representatives in Brazil, researchers, religious representatives, local representatives and professionals in the field of Tourism.
The event also welcomed the General President of GOUV, who came from Romania to hold the event. The event featured debates that discussed how tourism and the cultural sector of this society impact the local economy and how this example could be applied to other cities in the State and neighboring federal entities.
A technical visit was also carried out at various tourist attractions in the city in order to improve knowledge about the city. The set and recording team for the new Star+ series about Maria Bonita were also visited. The story of Lampião and Maria Bonita will also be the theme of “Guerreiros do Sol”, a new Globoplay soap opera that will premiere in 2024. The GOUV team followed the production of the scenario and can experience up close the impact of these events on the life of the local community.
The event also included visits to neighboring cities, such as Buqueirão, the archaeological site of Pedra do Ingá (Pedra do Ingá is an archaeological monument, identified as “itacoatiara”, consisting of a rocky terrain that has rock inscriptions) and the city of Campina Big.
