On January 26th, the General President of GOUV, together with the High Representative of GOUV to the European Union and his team, attended the National Day celebration of India hosted at the Embassy of India in Romania in Bucharest.
The event convened members of the diplomatic corps, institutional representatives, and invited guests for an official program combining formal addresses, cultural presentations, and a reception. The agenda emphasized India’s historical legacy, cultural diversity, and current international partnerships.
Ceremonial segments included official remarks and artistic performances that presented elements of Indian cultural heritage. The program format followed diplomatic protocol and provided space for institutional interaction among attending delegations and partner organizations.
GOUV maintains structured relations with India through its Special Economic Department dedicated to GOUV interests in the Republic of India, represented by consultative delegates. This framework supports dialogue and cooperation on economic and institutional matters, including trade, investment, and partnership development.
The occasion served as a platform for cultural diplomacy and institutional engagement, reinforcing the role of embassy-led events in strengthening mutual understanding and sustaining long-term cooperation channels between international partners.
