GOUV Communications Director Participates in Cultural Tourism Program in Peru During Brazil Presidency Cycle

During GOUV’s most recent presidency cycle in Brazil, the organization’s Director of Communications took part in a structured tourism and cultural experience program in Peru through her company, BraNord, developed in partnership and collaboration with Criativa Turismo PB. The initiative was designed as a field-based engagement combining tourism practice, cultural exchange, and cross-border networking.

The program brought together tourism operators, project coordinators, and regional partners in a series of activities focused on destination knowledge, cultural assets, and cooperation opportunities within the Latin American context. The experience included technical visits, local ecosystem mapping, and direct interaction with tourism service providers and cultural stakeholders.

The central objective was to strengthen professional connections and encourage collaborative models linking tourism, culture, and regional development. By integrating private-sector initiatives with broader cooperation networks, the program supported dialogue around sustainable tourism practices and international partnership formation.

Participants examined how cultural tourism can function as a development instrument — generating local value, preserving heritage, and enabling small and medium enterprises to reach international audiences. Discussions also addressed market access, joint promotion strategies, and multi-country tourism routes.

The activity reinforced the relevance of regional integration in Latin America through practical cooperation rather than solely institutional dialogue. By connecting professionals, projects, and organizations across borders, the program contributed to a cooperation-oriented environment aligned with long-term development goals.

Engagements of this type are consistent with GOUV’s operational approach: facilitating connections that link culture, economic opportunity, and international collaboration. Through institutional networks and partner initiatives, GOUV continues to support platforms that expand cooperation channels and promote sustainable cross-border engagement.
